I like politics, but also agree with leaving them off of this board. It makes me sad when things get out of hand here.

At BYC we do good housekeeping.

This forum is privately own. The owner makes the rules because he pays the bills and after 10 years he knows what works to keep a forum growing happy and healthy. We all agreed to follow those rules when we registered.

If a thread breaks the rules, we clean it up and warn the offender. If need be we close it and/or remove it.

Which leads to this ruling -

Moderation
BYC staff spend a TON of time and energy to keep the forum running smoothly. How BYC staff moderate is never a topic for open discussion on the forum. If you have any questions or feedback on moderation it should be addressed to the Administrator or the specific moderator via email or private message.

* If a topic is closed or removed do not, under any circumstances, re-post the same topic or material. If you have any questions as to why a thread was closed or removed please contact a BYC staff member.​

Good idea -
but not for nothing Purple Chicken, you often write the most inflamatory posts on political topics. Like the last one on Palin's baby rumors...or the Chickenstock or a half dozen others in recent weeks. I don't suppose you'd want to send anyone an apology this time?

I have read a few of the recent political threads, and I must say that I refrained from participating-not because I didn't want to- but because the thoughts and feelings they evoked were really ugly!!
This forum is my sanctuary as is my chicken coop. I do this as relaxation. I know there are many out there who have a lot of stress, and I do not want to contribute to it. I have too much respect for the folks who I have come to know on this site. Nuf said! Mary
