Hate to be the lone descentor, but I like the graphic look w/ the plain green background, and think the butterflies would make a prettier back then just the plain green, so you could have a usable reverable quilt.

I forgot to post the finished pic. I did something totally different. I did not have enough of the butterfly so I made it into a boarder and found some pretty dark purple for the background. I used the lime green on the back. I also did another tumbling blocks quilt with monkeys. My first time doing tumbling blocks.They are both pretty wrinkled here but that was before ironing.




I just made these as a Christmas gift for my Aunt

I do have a pattern...sort of. It's for a wall hanging but I decided to use it to make the place mats and hot pads. I got everything out today to make more of them but then realized that my remaining red fabric has a bad streak down the center. So I had to put everything away till later.

Can you share it-at least where to find it?

I love your signature! That was one of my favorite songs from John Denver. Also like Calypso and Annie's Song. I named one of my Golden Retrievers "Catch Another Butterfly!"

It's always nice to find someone else that likes John Denver. It's an on going joke around here that my CD player won't work if I try to play anything else
