BYC SEWING/QUILTING CLUB

May I join in the club?

I have been quilting for about 19 years now - gosh, has it been that long? I also taught quilting for a few years through the Community Education Program in Jacksonville, FL.
I had lost my creative joy a while back, but my new hubby has returned that to me, so I'm enjoying my quilting, sewing, needlework (embroidery and cross stitch), knitting, crochet, spinning, gardening -etc., once again.

I look forward to going through all the "older" posts and seeing all the wonderful pieces everyone has made. I've already seen a few that I think are amazing!

Sure! The more the merrier!

So, now that I've been "accepted", is there a specific post that says exactly which color scheme/theme is being used, what size blocks and when and where they're due?

This thread isn't a swap thread, check out the hobbies section for any current or future swaps. There is usually at least one quit and/or crochet swap going at any time.

Hello, I am new here on BYC and beside messing with the Chickens :) I love quilting. Have been quilting for a year now and love every stitch of it. I am currently working on Mug Rugs, taking a small break from a very trying little quilt, I love coffee, any kind, so my little Mug Rugs are right up my alley. Oh yes, did I say I love Quilting??? Hope to meet many friends here :)

I haven't been on here in a while. How is everyone doing? I'm up to my ears in baby quilts right now. I just finished one, another would have been finished today except I ran out of pink thread so hve to go to town for some. I have material for another baby quilt but haven't cut it out yet. It will have appliqued kitty's on it. I need to have it finished by July when I go back to NC for a visit. I just finished making fancy burp cloths out of prefolded diapers for my daughter who is expecting in May. I always used a plain diaper or dish towel but times have changed I guess. Three of them she had me make for a teacher friend of hers that is due a couple of weeks before she's due so they're decorated with dinasours and have the baby's name embroiderd on them. They came out really cute.

Hi ladies (and gents, if there are any here...)

I am a beginner quilter. I made two last year... a disappearing nine patch and a zigzag. I love how both of them turned out. I am currently in the middle of working on a bargello but I'm taking a break now that the weather is nice. Once it gets to 95+ deg. I'll probably go back to working on it. Thankfully I don't have any deadlines, I just work on it when I'm feeling inspired.

I'll post some pictures tonight if I remember!
