Scrambled is talking about the salvage edge that has the company, name and order number of a fabric. It is so if you run out you can order it or look for it in different stores. Some even have the lot number. That way if someone likes your fabric you can tell them the company, the designer, and the order number.

It is also so you can put your fabric into those computer programs that let you design your quilt and/or keep a record of your stash.

You tossed it??!! Don't you know that is the latest rage??!! making projects with just the little bit of coloring dots and such. SHEEEEESH.


(would take me forever to save up enough to do anything with!!)
 
I can get the info Wednesday. I will have to learn to keep the little white strip with all the colorful dots on it and all the info.

I guess I really thought you didn't know so I was sharing sorry.
 
And here I always thought those little colored dots on the selvage were to help match colors to the yardage. Now I find out that they are for something entirely different!
