Now thanks to Coyote.....I will never toss another selvage edge away. I never knew that could be done. Well I have to tell all my quilting friends to save me their edges from now on.

Just something else to get addicted to, I guess.

I know!! Those items are soooo incredibly cute!! Reminds me of the old cigar silks women used to collect and make quilts out of..very clever!!!

I've always known about the selvage and what everything means that's printed on it but never thought to do what you gals do with them. Wow! I'm amazed. Still trying to get motivated into starting another quilt. Someone kick me in the rear so I'll get busy.

Thanks, I needed that. I have a top almost finished for the women and childrens shelter and then need to quilt it. Our next guild meeting is in August and I want to have it finished by then. My daughter in NC makes them for the local cancer unit and she puts them out like clockwork and works full time too. I only work part time.
