Thank you for your offer! I don't mind if you do at all, but don't put yourself out doing it, you've supported our club so much. We are cutting squares that are 8" out of donated fabrics we've received that 90% of have come from BYC members, sometimes I think we should rename it the BYC Sunrise Elementary Kid's Club!
PS: The reason they are 8" is because the kids started cutting squares and instead of 8 1/2 they cut 8" and they have 300 already!

Yes I am in!! Since my step mom passed away and I have been looking for something to keep my mind busy. It's real hard to stop thinking you need to rush home and plan your day around someone. I know she is in a better place and feels no more pain. You said you wanted a variety correct? Just let me know and I will get busy on it monday. Your students are very lucky to have you Kate.

I think I will pick up some priorty flat rate boxes and see how much they hold. That way, as I keep working through my fabric I can keep filling a box. They have one that is 11x 8 something x 5. That should hold a good number of squares. You and your students are actually doing me a favor...I have way too much fabric and I am trying to clean some of it out.
Anything and everything, we are just grateful for everything. We had a small sewing table donated today by a local person so that was exciting! The kids got about 200 more squares cut out during lunch. Some are aiming for Mother's Day gifts, 3 are doing baby size quilts for newborn siblings and we have one whose mom is a teacher at our school in due in April, a girl. Two of our girls are just giddy with delight over some scraps from Cynthia, they are using them for presents for their moms. We had some 4 and 6 inch squares left over from one of the swaps on here so those are being used too. I tried to cut down on the size of the club but we still had 27 yesterday and several more signed up in the office today so it's back to two days a week instead of one. This half of the year I want them to finish something for themselves, they made a lot of donor things the first half of the year.
One of the finished pieces was the name quilt for the shelter in El Paso and I didn't get a picture of it due to my camera being out of commision so I'm going to try and get over the shelter soon to get a pic, it turned out so nice and they just loved it! With all my stuff and stress I forgot to post about it then.
