This is my dad's painting. The sheep are Icelandic sheep we met on a fiber farms tour.

Thank you on the yarn compliments As much as I'd love to work with them, I have more yarn than I know what to do with. I've got them up for sale and have already sold the lighter purple skeins.

I know what you mean about keeping up with the yarn - someone gave me 11 oz of alpaca, I spun it in two days but it took WEEKS to knit it up! If only knitting went as fast as spinning.

Hey everyone, another BYC'er suggested I check here to see if anyone has and extra bits or scraps from spinning or even yarn bits? Wow!!!!! That's one Dad with a massive talent. What a beautiful painting. I bet you got some wonderful murals done by him in the house when you were growing up - at least I hope you did.

CaroleM, thank you My dad is a professional artist, and growing up we mostly had the ones that didn't sell! This isn't fiber, but I just have to share this painting he did - hope it's okay to be off topic just once! I think it's so fun and hope he does many more chicken pieces.

Awesome, can't wait to hear more about the process! I just was given many, many bags of raw alpaca fiber that I can't wait to dive into. I've been researching how to go about processing it. I'm going to give drum carders a shot after washing it. Just to find the time ...
