Welcome to BYC's Chilly Coop Contest. Some coops are purchased kits, and some are custom-crafted. Some coops are made of recycled wood, and some are painted. One thing that all of our coops share in common is a place for our feathered friends to lay their eggs and to keep their fluffy butts safe and warm in the winter. We want to see those cozy cottages and fortified fortresses this winter.

Prizes

Place	Prize
First	$50 BYC Store Gift Certificate or a 1-year PFM ($60 value) for yourself or a friend.
Second	$30 BYC Store Gift Certificate or a 6-month PFM ($35 value) for yourself or a friend.
Third	$15 BYC Store Gift Certificate or a 3-month PFM ($20 value) for yourself or a friend.
Fourth	1-month PFM for yourself or a friend or a BYC 2023 Calendar.

BYC Store Gift Certificates & calendars are available to winners that reside in the United States. If the winners are outside of the United States they will be awarded the PFM instead.

How to enter:
It's easy to enter, just reply to this thread with winter pictures of your coop or run.

To increase your chances of winning, please read the rules before entering.

Rules:

1. An entry is one picture of your poultry's coop or run.
2. A member can have up four entries (only one entry per post, please).
3. The picture needs to have been taken by you.
4. Images that have been resized might be disqualified if they are too small to judge.
5. The picture needs to have been taken by you.
6. No screenshots, no collages, and no watermarks, date stamps, text, etc. on the picture. No collages.
7. High-quality images are recommended. Basic editing, such as cropping and other subtle changes are allowed.
8. ALL pictures MUST be uploaded to BYC and not hosted on other image sites, personal websites, etc.

10. Prizes are limited to one per person per contest.
11. All BYC rules apply: Terms of Service (Rules)
12. Entries will be accepted until February 28th, 2023, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

This is my coop on a cold snowy night. This building is over 100 years old. I reinforced it some and then changed some things. It has worked really well for me.

Found this funny pic of my chickens upset about the snow. I threw them all outside, I even gave them a board to stand on. After about three hours they finally started to venture away from the board, lol.

Early and heavy and were they ever so unhappy when it crashed off- perhaps because it is a Woods style coop and that is their open front window?
