Change of plans

I'm gonna give this gal some major props, I've never had a first time broody that consistently goes back to the same nest from the get go. She it's definitely grafted. I'm gonna candle tonight. The gal who wanted the wheaten chicks from this last hatch is going to take all 10 chicks, she's picking them up this weekend.

Candled the eggs, 4 look great 1 looks like a quitter but I put it back just in case. Here she is taking her daily dust bath, and a couple pics of the 3 stooges.

Just a little update: lunatic fringe is an excellent broody so far, zero nest swapping and viscous if anyone comes near. The 3 ermine/ black ameraucanas I'm still in the fence about, but I think the black and 1 of the ermine are cockerels. Still waiting on my OE BC to lay, she's gorgeous and killing me in the waiting department 😂

True Ameraucanas are so much harder to sex than EEs! They all look like pullets to me but I'm no expert.

True story! Their male specific feathers should start coming in soon, so I'll just be sitting over here staring at them until then😂
