oh no ! so deep for the chickies! did they hate it?I forgot I had this from earlier this year right before spring. We got like 3 feet of snow!View attachment 3734740
Yes, there were certainly a lot of complaints to be heard! It took a little coaxing to get them to finally come out once I shoveled.oh no ! so deep for the chickies! did they hate it?
winter in Downeast Maine. Chicken coop can be seen, but there is a duck-hut and goose hoose on the backside. All keeping it interesting inside, out of the cold. I added a few teen ducklings, so had to put a light to help... goes against everything tho. Temporary! Husband insisted on better, wooden run with corrals for each. So, we built it together!![]()

Winter Contest Series
Chilly Coop Contest!
Ends February 29th, 2024
Welcome to BYC's Chilly Coop Contest. Some coops are purchased kits, and some are custom-crafted. Some coops are made of recycled wood, and some are painted. One thing that all of our coops share in common is a place for our feathered friends to lay their eggs and to keep their fluffy butts safe and warm in the winter. We want to see those cozy cottages and fortified fortresses this winter.
