Yep it’s officially October……on my way to celebrate from a tree!!!!!!

You can candle to see if any have internally pipped. External pip typically can be seen 12-24 hours prior to hatch……if you’re temps are on the low side or have cold spots it can be delayed
The point of raising humidity at lockdown is to help soften the shell but too high humidity can drown the chicks.
You may start seeing some more toward end of day 20.
Did you salt test hygrometer? Do you have multiple thermometers?

I just went with incubator readings. I have an egg pipped this morning, Praise the Lord.

Set some chicken eggs a few days ago! Hatch date is 10/13. Close enough to Halloween, right?

I have some ameraucana eggs in the regular October HAL already, so I think for this one I will set some of my leghorn eggs. They're covered by a back-crossed 'olive egger' rooster, and I need to find out what egg color genetics he's carrying.
