I have a question for you serious carvers out there - can you recommend a set of sturdy tools that won't bend or break like those common orange ones everybody seems to be selling in October? Those are really frustrating to work with, and I end up having to replace them pretty much every year.

Here’s my second pumpkin for this year! Just freehanding some stuff, no stencils. First time trying surface carving, though I didn’t have the right tools for it and it didn’t come out as detailed as I wanted.

We’ve used little saws from my husband’s shop similar to this, and there’s a handle that hold skinny skill saw blades as well. Just be
sure to clean well and oil after.
