Years ago I had a raccoon come in, came up the stairs and was eating the cats food.... right behind me. I was on the computer and heard nails on the floor. I turned to look and it ran down the stairs, out the cat door. A few minutes later it was back. I chased it and a half hour later it was back. I finally found the slide in board for the door so it didn't come back.
I had found the garbage dumped but the chicken bones were still there. The cat did seem to be eating a lot the week before

It's true! But you can only use the knit/crochet ones if they can't get wet. Fleece or a snood work best when they're drinking from a bucket.
