THIS JUST REMINDS ME SOMETHING.
When I eat fried chicken,,,, I usually rip off most of the skin, and breading, since it has a lot of fat. Instead of throwing it away, I give scraps to my chickens. I also let them pick the bones clean.
I always say to them,,, (hopefully no one else hears me)

I know,right? I always put out the left over turkey bones after Thanksgiving. And the sentiment is similar!
