I do too... at a distance lol. They're unbelievably loud! My son brought them to Thanksgiving dinner to show my parents a couple years ago. He stood out on the deck to play them and a neighbor down the street texted my dad asking if he had bagpipes playing lol
I think it would be fun to learn the bagpipes, but I wouldn't play at midnight.
Definitely a fun and unique instrument. They're apparently rather hard to learn though. Both my kids primarily play wind instruments (flute and clarinet) so they thought it would be easy but the breathing only fills the bag and is not coordinated at all with the notes.... you have to squeeze the bag to keep the drones going and notes playing while making sure you keep the bag full of air. Both kids had dizzy spells while learning.
