I had problems figuring this out too.

Copy the URL you want. Go into the editor and type a word and highlight that word. Then select the chain thingy in the top of the editor, it will prompt you for the URL and paste the URL there....and zwalla...like magic, the word you highlighted becomes the link to the URL.

so instead of pasting within the post as copy paste does you want the other steps also me thinks the maybe things are getting a bit too much for me here

it's basically just making a word into a link, like in my signature, you don't have to it's just a fun feature
