Leepsy, I don't want you to think I was critizing your work, I was just making a suggestion. I am impressed with the quality of work everybody is doing on the blocks I have seen so far.

My application for disability is in the final stages I just found out today. Say some prayers that it is approved otherwise I may be looking for a new home for me and the kids as well.

Would someone look at the first house pattern for me ?

I am making a practice block and when i went to make the section with thw window it didn't match up right ?

It says cut the window piece 2 1/2 by 3 inch bar and the piece that connects to it is cut 2 1/2 by 3 1/2. It says sew the house piece to the long side of window. The long side of window is 3 inches and the piece that connects to it is 2 1/2 by 3 1/2. The long side of window is 3 inches. How will those match up ?

Oh, I didn't take it as criticizing my work, FrChuck,

'cause I asked for suggestions. I didn't think it looked as good as it would have if I had added sky and grass to both sides. You know, sometimes when you are tired you cut corners. But, I knew I would eventually make it as good as I could.

Silly Zoo, you wouldn't have had part of a barn, you just wouldn't have had grass and sky on one side of it.

Lori...I think the two bars should be the same length as the window and that maybe a mistake was made in the assembly directions. Because the cutting directions say that the window is cut 3 inches too. I think I am reading it right. When I look at the pic of the house it looks like the window is about 1/2 the height of the door.

Prayers for both of you waiting on disability. Our 4yo son is autistic and we went through months of waiting. It's crazy the hoops that have to be jumped through.
