BYCville Town Quilt Block Swap SIGNUPS CLOSED

Is everyone changing from the more elaborate appliques to something simple?

If so, I will be searching for other patterns for my own block.

Darlene gave me a great idea to get past the ironing (sewing interfacing on and turning inside out!), so I'm still going to attempt my block I initially wanted to do. I will see how it goes with all of the little pieces first though.

She told me to cut the pattern out once in the fabric and again in interfacing. Then sew right sides together, turn inside out, and press the seams that didn't get sewn under! I don't think it will take much more time than trying to press all of the edges under and it won't mess the nice curves up!

I'm would like to know the answer to that question too.

As taken from the rules at in the beginning post:
I am including some links for some patterns. You are free to find your own pattern for the building you choose, as well. These links are just to help. The fabrics you use to make the block are your choice completely. The fabrics MUST be 100% top quality cotton quilting type fabrics, pre-washed before making the blocks. Blocks are to be 12.5 inches unfinished. There are a couple of the patterns that don’t make up a 12.5 block, but could easily have fabric added to make the block the 12.5 size

But my question is.....Do they all have to be done the exact same way using the same fabric on each of the blocks?

I think the answer to that Acre is in the rules, no, "your choice" as long as they are cotton and pre-washed. All of mine are different colors but they are all the same pattern and all cotton and of course, pre-washed. So go for it and mix it up

I'm was just wondering, I have spent enough money on this fabric, so all of my blocks will be the same as of right now.

Thanks for the answers though.

Hope you all have a wonderful evening.
