Well, if I got what I wanted from each hatch, I wouldnt have to do it again, would I, LOL?
Now, I have what I need, as long as two or three of the Blue Orps are young ladies. One splash...anyone want to take bets it will be my third (fourth?) splash Orp
cockerel? I'm done, Jordan. Done, done, DONE! At least, I'm done hatching for my own flock. If I can have the interest I've had in the Blue Orp day olds, I'll keep hatching for other people. Guy just bought 9 day olds and has dibs on the 11 in the bator.
You asked, so here it goes: Of the teens (10-11 weeks old) I'm
keeping (not counting the quad I have sold pending pickup), I have these pullets:
2 Welsummers
4 Rhode Isl Reds (Julie's dark beauties)
2 New Hampshires
1 Buff Orpington
1 Splash Ameraucana
1 Blue Ameraucana
1 Blue Wheaten-looking Easter Egger (she's 15 wks old)
1 BR Cockerel (Dutch), Hawkeye's son with Lexie
Then, in the pre-teen crowd, 6 wks old or so:
1 BR x Blue Ameraucana (Panda)
2 SLW
1 GLW
1 Blue Bantam Cochin
1 BR cockerel (Mace, Hawkeye's son w/Lexie)
Of the newly hatched chicks, 6 Delawares, 5 Blue Orpingtons, 1 Splash Orpington and CJ. Obviously, I have no idea how many pullets are in that bunch.
My main flock has 24 girls laying and then there are the Orpington breeders with Suede, Velvet, Skye & Delilah. And Zane, my sweetie pie rooster. Hope I didn't miss anybody!
