My kids want to hatch the Muscovy.....so, I guess we'll just wait for some eggs. Please keep me in mind when y'all have some.

Honestly, I am losing my mind. I had it in my head the CSRA ChickenStock is "not tomorrow, but the next Sat" and apologize for being impatient.
The Muscovy-girls may well be about to start laying again (there is a blue girl, a chocolate girl and 2 blue fawn girls with a blue fawn drake). Three of the girls flew out of their yard this morning and were poking around in the shrubs --- looking for a good place to lay maybe?

Looks good! I so hope we can come (at least for a little while), but our town is hosting their annual ArtFest that weekend and then there's Tignall's "I'd Rather be in Tignall" festival that Mom wants to go to.. Still would love to know who's bringing Silkies (especially Whites, I'm looking for a boy). Also..does anyone raise Cuckoo Marans? I'm kinda looking for some because I'd like to breed some sex linked chicks this coming spring or the one after. I think you can use Cuckoo Marans for that?(Cuckoo's x RIR) Does anyone remember what mix makes the red sex linked color?

My little buff isn't lonely anymore. A friend of mine gave me two of her buff and found a lady in Clearwater that had a beautiful Rhode Island Red rooster for sale. At least she has a small flock now. I can't wait for the chicken stock at Tractor Supply. I still feel bad about the other chickens getting killed, but at least I can restart the flock with some good laying hens now. The cornish rock were cool, but they got huge and where starting to eat me out of house and home.

Thanks everyone for the advice. My buff seems to be getting along fine with the other 2 buff I got yesterday. The big Rhode Island red rooster crowed today! I may be crazy, but I love the sound of a rooster crowing... to me it is refreshing. Really excited about the meet at Tractor supply. I am hoping to be able to pick up a few more hens there. I am hoping I will finally get some eggs. Hubby and I installed some better nesting boxes today. We didn't have any in there when we had the conish rocks and the few buffs I did have never laid. The buff I got yesterday are around 5 months old and my surviving lucky buff is about 7 month old. I am so excited because these ones are so much friendlier then the cornish rocks were.
