12 standard hens, 3 standard roosters, 8 banty hens, 6 banty roosters, a guinea cock, 20 peafowl, 4 emus, 15 Sebastopol geese, 3 Canadian geese, and a Khaki Campbell duck for all of my poultry....
And that's only my poultry.

Ahhhhhhh here it is:
Buried deep in one's memory, the parent vaguely recalls one of the rationales we serve up when one of its offspring want something very badly that we know we will never give to them- just to temporarily deal with a crisis at hand, of course; one would NEVER consider that the "promise" would ever be evoked again.
And then the parent forgets about its hasty promises.
Hmmmmmmm.
Why can kids never cease to forget to brush their teeth or do their homework, and yet they perfectly recall a shallow promise made 5 years ago?
