Ummm. I have two barred rocks, a seven year old, Bea, and Granite my almost two year.They are kinda bullies(long story)But they are so pretty and hardly anderfect eggs!i have two deceased ones to....Rock and Livi
 
Wasn't Rock your first chicken you lost? I'm so sorry again, Kyndra. :hit :hugs :hit :hugs Your first chicken you loose is always the hardest- believe me, Kisses died at 8 months and THAT was hard....

That's sad. I have two really sad chicken deaths that are really hard to forget... one of my old silkies Sugar, who got attacked at night and flys laid eggs in her wound without us knowing and so after a while, the eggs hatched and well you get the idea... :hit :hit :hit. And then there's my other silkie, my favorite rooster Blueberry(he was a blue silkie), he got by the fence that is up to keep the silkies safe and ended up i our driveway and well..... :hit he couldn't see good so when we drove back home we... well we didn't run him over but my mom thinks we gave him a heartattack.. :hit :hit :hit

Rocks was awful, she died way to young.Killed by a fisher or dog, I hardly remember her!She didn't even have a name, so we call her Rock.
Liv had a long life of 6 years.

I know how you feel, saddly! This is my first one who died and so far only one who died! :hit

What does owning chickens have to be a emotional roller coaster?!?

There's a hawk or two that created it' s nest in our yard and it always circles around in the sky over my yard.
