As someone who produces a lot of videos, it's hard to tell but I guarantee that all of the staff at McMurray Hatchery treats their chicks with the utmost care. All their packing is hand-done there. No big machines. Ask them on one of their live videos. Small family-owned company -- not as big as you would think.
Cackle is a small family-owned company too. Most of the hatcheries are, really, unless they're strictly production hatcheries putting out layers or broilers. Those tend to be more corporate, but these days even corporate operations are just family businesses that have scaled up to try to squeeze enough profit to get by out of economy of scale.
