Good question 8813. I did order chicks that arrived on time and all were healthy. I have not ordered supplies yet as I know I will need to in the future. Anyone out there that can tell us how they do in that department? I'm assuming the same people run it all (eggs, chicks & supplies). Let us know. Thanks

I hava had a negative experience with cackle, I placed an order online and they never got it, called them and they had no explanation what happened and did not seem to care. The woman answering the phone did not even try to fix it, just hung up. I give up trying to order from them. I ordered from welp the same day and just got my chicks, only one buff orpington did not survive, I did get one extra broiler so its no big deal. The rest are all healthy and stated drinking water right away.

Glad your chicks made it. I'm not familiar with Cackle...we have always ordered through our local feed and farm store or ordered from McMurray.

Sorry you are having this experience. I ordered my 21 from Meyer Hatchery and cannot rave about them enough. Birds hatched on Monday and shipped on Monday...I had them Tuesday! I lost one that real weak and tiny but everyone else is doing great. I ordered a Blue Cochin pullet and got the most beautiful splash cochin you could ever want.

Customer Service is 110%, friendly, courteous, helpful and always answers the phone.

I will order from them again for sure.

Idiotic ideas by a huge group of idiots! Yes turn them loose and watch them die slowly because they have all be born and raised in captivity. What morons.

Sorry for hijacking I just despise PETA and everything they say they stand for.

I got 4 shipments from Meyers this month. All 4 times the customer service was
exceptional. All 4 packages were shipped promptly on monday and arrived like
clockwork on wednesday morning. I had problems with 1 of 2 turkey orders. They
credited me for all the birds I lost, even the ones after their 48 hour guarantee.

All 100 chickens (50 fryers & 50 Cornish X) from 2 shipments are amazingly healthy.
They shipped 110. We lost a few as expected but are still ahead of the game.

Meyershatchery.com and jmhatchery.com (Rangers & Ducks) are awesome.

I won't repeat the bad experience we had with Cackle. I hate to bash businesses
but they really need to get there stuff together.

I have ordered from Cackle and all my experiences with them have been pleasant, yes their phones are busy, but I am glad they are busy taking care of the birds instead of hiring people to answer the phone all day long. Shheesh people, get over it, if you need help you can get on this site.

I ordered 120 chicks from cackle in early spring and I am very happy with them. All arrived the day they were scheduled and all arrived alive. They are now good sized pullets and I am very pleased with the quality of them. I ordered Silver Laced Wyandotes and Light Brahmas, they are correctly colored and beautiful birds. As with any hatchery there is going to be problems with some orders, no hatchery can be 100% perfect on every order!
