Cackle Hatchery issues (I do not suggest using them)

Meyer hatchery has really cool breed like blue splash maran swedish flowerhens lakshore egger lavender orpington cream legbars blue laced red wydottes salmon faveroll steele eggers golden cuckoo maran. Of course there is many more cool breeds but these are my favorite. Some of there breeds are even cheaper than mc murrays of course some are expensive but there salmon faverolls are 5$ for females in Meyers but in Mc Murray there 7$. Plus meyers have good quailty birds.
None of those remotely interest me. Plus steel eggers are A) not a real breed and B) I have yet to find a real picture of what they even look like

Easter Eggers are not Legbar mixes and if somebody is ordering certain breeds then they should get those
I never said they shouldn’t. I was only pointing out that they might not be really poor quality legbars, but actual legbar mixes that were sent instead of legbars.

The classic Easter eggers with beards and pea combs are not legbar mixes. However, hatcheries do breed types of EEs that are legbar mixes. An example is the lakeshore egger. I didn’t list a specific name because there’s many of them, so it’s simpler to just call them EEs, since that’s what they are.

Ok, i just went and refreshed my memory on Cackles Guarantees and refund Policies. They do guarantee the full number of live chicks ordered, but they add a chick or two to add to the number of live chicks recieved. So if you specifically order 6 chicks and recieve 6 and a dead one, thats still 6 live chicks you recieved. If you order 6 live chicks and recieve 5 live and two dead ones, they will refund for the 6th. They can replace the 1 lost chick in person, but they can't ship you just that 1 chick. Same goes for a defective chick, although it should've never left the facility in the first place. As long as you recieved your 6 live chicks, the extra deformity is not covered and therefore not refundable. As far as the suspected roo you may have recieved, they only guarantee a 90% sex guarantee. So since you got your 6 ordered pullets, he isn't covered in any policy either. So aside from the two extra, you got exactly what you ordered. As far as their CS, they do have a health and quality guarantee, so i don't know why they would be rude of your concerns about receiving a chick with a deformity from them. If it was my hatchery i would atleast offer an extra chick or something, even though you actually recieved your 6 pullets.

they are smaller than the whole batch of chicks they are far the smallest of all.
You say your White Laced Red Cornish from McMurray are smaller than the other chicks in the batch. Are you just looking at them, or have you picked them up or weighed them?

They hatch out small, because the Cornish lay smaller eggs. Small eggs = small chicks.
Then they grow slowly.
And their feathers are not very fluffy.
So yes, I would expect those Cornish to look "smallest" at 12 weeks.
They may or may not be the lightest in weight at that age.

he/ she is older now and looks the same as the rest but for sure! Now the feathering looks the same as everyone else??
Can you post a picture?

If the chick was supposed to be a female, and it grew female-colored feathers, then maybe it was a female that just happened to have odd-colored down when it was young.
