Cackle Hatchery or Hoover's Hatchery?

Hi all,

This will be my second year with chickens, and I am getting ready to order my new babies. I am not sure what hatchery to use, last year I bought my chicks from Runnings and I know they use Hoover's. I live in North Dakota so both hatcheries are quite far from me. I am not really looking for meat birds yet but I want to get a variety of egg layers preferably 250-300 eggs a year. Any suggestions, advice, or opinions are welcome!

Try cackle. I have bought from them before, they have a lot of different breeds, not to expensive, sexed. There is a 15 chick minimum if you want to avoid a small order fee. Only one died, they included 3 extra female chicks.

I was happy with my Runnings chicks last year and this year I just special ordered through Runnings - so Hoover but Runnings picks up at post office and calls when they arrive. Hopefully it’ll work out. Also in ND.
