Hi everyone. New poster but long time lurker from Spring Lake NC (stationed at Bragg). I currently have five 3 week old chicks, ( 3 barred rocks pullets, 1 white sr silkie and a feather footed black chick of some kind that was sr also). Hopefully the two straight run chicks are pullets but with my luck they will be roo's. I got them from a feed store not to local to me and for the last couple weeks are doing great and today are playing in the yard.
Well last week I decided that I needed to get a few more, five chicks is hardly a respectable size flock for living on a mini farm, so I ordered a Hatchery Surprise from Cackle Hatchery. What I was wondering is if anyone has ordered a surprise this year and if so what did you get? I am curious what may be in store for me when I get them next week (April 11th ship date). I have read some threads about the hatchery surprise but they are all old threads and none of them have any info from this year. So if you got one please post what you received, or even better post some pictures of them. When I receive my little fuzzy butts I will make sure to post a list and some pictures so yall can help me decide what is what. I am hoping for some turkeys so wish me luck.
