No pics yet - my dd has camera, but here is what I think I got

I ordered:
1 bourbon red turkey
5 wc black polish
5 wc blue polish
5 turken pullets

2 white embden geese
2 toulouse geese (both for another member of BYC)

the hatchery surprise had:
1 toulouse
2 khaki campbell ducks
3 blue slate turkey
(which is cool cause I couldn't decide between them and the Bourbon red!!)

13 bantams
- I couldn't tell you what they are!!!! They all look alike in the book but 3 are brown, 2 are brown with stripes, 5 were almost solid black and 3 are black with some yellow.

LF:
5 silver laced cochin
2 partridge cochin
6 barred rock/sex link/Dominique?
(They are black two have dots with various levels of yellow)
2 buff orps ?
6 partridge rock?

Or I could be completely off and they are all varieties of OEGF!!!
I will get pics up next week when they have a little growth and I have my camera back!

Oh, I had 1 bantam DOA and one BO not make it home. Not bad 41 birds for 39.95!!!

Well just a week more until mine come. I was wondering, do thye know what they are going to send you from the moment you put your order? Is that why it takes 3 weeks? because I thought it was like they just picked up any chicks that had left over that day.

did you only order the surprise? If not that could delay it. If so, I know the gal I spoke to said they send out over 700 orders each mon and wed. That's alot of chickens!!! Maybe it's that far down the road before they have any "extras" available. I know I had to take off my SL Polish or my order would have been held another month before any would be available!

I ordered the surprise by itself. I was just curious on the proccess. Im not knocking them. I just found it interesting that they could say a spcific date, like mine goes out june 1st. And the chicks have to be sent out the same day they hatch. I can't even imagine how hectic a hatchery must be.

WOW! I didn't know they could ship ducklings and goslings along with chicks and turkeys like that. Thats a terrific deal!!

Take Care,
Bill.

Bill,
They send them in a 4 segment box. The geese were on one side the chicks divided on the other 3. The ducks were actually about the size of the large chicks. The only thing I kind of wish they had done was to seperate out the bantams. I had one get smooshed.

I will post photos tomorrow - I have some I don't know what they are yet.
