Cackling Geese OMG! Im so excited!

thanks for the pics Michael!. they are all neat!!
When I let mine out with the sebastopols. I'll get pics... they will all look so cool together.
When they start to lay we will need to trade eggs.

We have Caklers plus Snows, Blues, Barnacles, Barheads, Maned, Common Canadians, Giant Canadians, Egyptian, White Egyptian and a few types of domestic geese.

Flying monkey- as for swapping eggs, you would need a FEDERAL waterfowl permit. THe way it works is:

Most states require a STATE game breeders permit (the name varies by state) to keep any Native Waterfowl, Partridge, Grouse, Quail and some states require it for pheasants also.

But to transfer (sell, give away, trade, donate, etc) any Native waterfowl species you need a FEDERAL WATERFOWL PERMIT from US Fish & Wildlife Service. You need the transfer forms for eggs, live birds or even dead birds, anytime they would change ownership.

Also ANY regulated species- need to be toe clipped.

I think it would be cool if you bred those cackling geese with another breed of goose, like chinese, but thats just me!

Your state will have a National Fish and Wildlife department that you will need to contact. Tell them that you have Migratory Waterfowl. When mine breed I will do it too, then we will sell the offspring with a "Notice of Transfer" showing our permit number.

Hello,
I am looking for a canada goose or subspecies of canada goose for my hybrid to have a companion! Do you know anyone with a permit who is legally breeding/ selling any gosling? I have been looking for years!
Tha k you

I believe Stromberg Hatchery sells Canada Geese. Spectrum Ranch already stated they do and while they are not active on here very much you can reach out to them on Facebook.
