Cactus question

Oh and it's common for them to flop over in winter, my out door pears are all laying down too. They should perk up come spring.
Oh thank you, I was wondering about that!

About the too much water, these pears are about three feet away from each other, in the same garden bed, same spot in the yard...I find it kinda hard to believe just one would be suffering from overwatering and not the other, ya know?

We had a lot of wind on Tuesday, gusts of up to 80 mph, so I'm wondering if the flat one got blown over.

So, I went out and uncovered the other prickly pear, it doesn't seem as bad as the one flat on the ground, but it's still wobbly and kind of flopped over.

This is another photo of the flat one. It is more purpley than yellow...

And the mystery cacti, it isn't cylindrical, its pads are flat and oval shaped. It's got a ton of spines, and the spots where its flowers were last year are coming off now, and they're little balls of spines.

Call me crazy, but it sort of looks like you’ve got both going on  . Some pads look more underwatered, and others overwatered. I think the advice given by @TwoCrows is the best. Wait a week, and then try to see which pads will benefit from being replanted.

I don’t think the grass affected the opuntia this much. If anything, it’s probably an indicator that the area got a little too much water.

Oh wow, that is indeed WAY off what I guessed. Another opuntia I guess! I’d usually call peeps with more than one succulent lucky, but not if you have opuntias

Yeah, I think the sprinklers hit that area pretty good last summer. I should see if I can adjust them so that they don't hit it as much.

Wow, you really don't like those, huh? I've got a super cute hen and chicks succulent, that probably balances it out a bit 😌

I’ll answer with a question:p. Have come close to tripping and falling on a 4 meter high, 6 meter long, wall of opuntia?

The worst part is that they’re so ancient, that the base has absolutely no spines. That means it’s perfect for the chickens to hang out, but a pain for me to approach:rant

See, I have learnt something. I have a "opuntia" too 😌
