Caged bird experts.UPDATe he's home..and NAMED

It looks pretty severe, but I bet once it gets trimmed to a normal length it won't look too off.

My cockatoo, right before he realized he could trim it himself had a piece from his bottom beak that was really thin and about an inch long.

I have a chicken that has a crooked beak about like this little green cheek. Looks awful if you let it get long, but once trimmed it isn't too far off. Hers appeared when she was about a month old. Breeder never saw it in his birds and none of the others I got from the breeder showed it.

Good luck with the little guy/gal. Green cheeks are so sweet.

Thanks guys! We are excited to get him..at the very least he will have a ppropriate care here and regular beak trims..

I kinda like the name cashew as its not a common name! lol

I was calling ours Tiki when we got him, but our oldest DD kept calling him her lil buddy, hence the name Buddy lol

I also like the name Sprout for a green bird!

Pickle, Kiwi, Mya

We had a goat name Cashew..so its already been used and I don't like repeating names..

Sprout is cute..I'll have to put some thought into it!

isnt that funny! I have NEVER known a animal to be named cashew (I have it now in memory for future critters lol)

Jasper is one of my favorite names! My best friends English Mastiffs name is Jasper, her other one is Bella

I think he will be fine with you once he is home and settled!

Our GCC is pretty quiet, I love to listen to him grumble under his breath at night when he is sleepy

It is sort of a different name... I've always liked the name Cash but wanted a longer name so our first goat kid born on the property was named Cashew..Cash for short. Unforunately he was a buckling(along with his two brothers..triplets) so they all were sold...
But on a positive note they were sold to a local petting zoo and get to live their lives out there!
This is a pic of our Cashew..they were born on valentines day and you can't see it in the pic but the marking on his back is a perfect heart shape..perhaps we should have called him Cupid or Valentine!

Back to the conure..I like funny names(like Buzzard or some other bird species name) or people names..I though Winston or Percy but don't think either will quite fit..DH wants him to have a "Hockey player name" since he has a hockey nose...
