Welcome I would keep crushed oyster shells available in a dish.... do you know if she ate her regular feed while your family was looking after her?

She did but I like to feed them 2-3 times a day and gave them extra treats. That may not have happened

No she’s 2 1/2 years. She started off strong and had stayed this way until this summer. I was gone most of the summer and I don’t trust my family to take care of them the way I do.

I know! Whenever I get back from a trip I find there is always one thing my family overlooked in chicken care. Water, food, egg collecting in winter (=frozen eggs)...
