Calculating Protein Percentages of Eggs and Peas

It has been very educational for me...

I'm somewhat relieved that it has been just as difficult to get an agreement out of many smart people as it has been to get my mind to agree with itself on the % of protein in a single fresh egg (raw or cooked). To recognize that total % doesn't equal absorption or account for all the potential other nutrient benefits. And how weird to see that it is more digestible cooked with so many on a raw food craze.

And I guess I will say, we are what we eat. :)
Offcorse that cooked protein is more digestible ! The native=natural in rouind protein has a very complicated tertiary structure that is essential for the protein to do his job. But because we don't need the proteins in our food as functional proteins but just as a amino acid source we need to brake the protein structure by a process called Denaturation . We can achieve Denaturation just by eating the row protein and hopping that the hige acidity in ouer stomach will do( to low and to hige PH can cause Denaturation ) or eas on ouer self by heating the protein befor eating ( hige temp can cause Denaturation ).

I believe an egg has 6 grams of protein.

I am stuck, and have not been able to read back, on the percent numbers.

It is easy
Let say that the %of protein is:
Feed 20%
Egg 18%
Peas 15%
In the first example
Take the % of each and make an average it is because you have taken 100 gr of each.
But if you take different amounts let say
100 grams of feed 50 grams of egg and 180 gr of peas then you should do this:
20%=0.2
100 gr of feed x 0.2= 20 gr of protein
18%=0.18
50 gr of egg x0.18=9 gr of protein
15%=0.15
180 gr of peas x0.15= 27 gr protein
Then
(Total whigt of protein in grams/ total whigt )x100= the % of protein in the mix
(20+9+27/100+50+180=56/330=0.169
0.169x100=16.9% protein in the mix.
I'm starting from the beginning again now.

You don't have to believe just see what his the protein % in raw egg and then you need to whigt the egg. And all you need TO calculate.
I'm stuck on what percentage of protein one egg would be in the daily diet of a chicken.

I'm stuck on what percentage of protein one egg would be in the daily diet of a chicken.
Not again!
Kiki see this:
A chicken needs in avarage 0.25 pound of feed a day.
0.25 pound is close to 112 grams
The feed is 18% protein so:
18%=0.18
0.18×112=20.6 grams of protein/day
In an egg their is 6 grams in average so
(6:20.6)×100=29.12% of the daily protein requirements of the average chicken .
If you give a chicken almost 3.5 eggs a day they will get all the protein they need.
