Calico Cochin Thread

Pics
Our family just became the proud owners of two calico cochin bantams.

They are so sweet, and we are tickled. We are the second family approved for backyard chickens in our suburb. The ladies will help with our goal of local and organic food- via eggs, fertilizer, and pest control. We're thrilled.

Dinah is so pretty! I hope some of my Calico chicks come out with more white feathers. They are just starting to feather so my fingers are crossed.

I got my first calico cochins awhile back and finally took some pictures! Here they are:

Male #1 -14 weeks old

Male #2 12 weeks old (I thought it was neat that several of his tail feathers have what looks like black hearts on them, more impressive in person

- I know they will probably go away though)

I think I know which one I will be keeping but which male would you keep to breed? Need to make my final decision soon and try to find the other a good home.

Female #1 -14 weeks old

Female #2- 11 weeks old
