Calico Geese ..?

I knew that they are from swan geese and greylag. Thats why i was worried when i bought two types of chinese and the tufteds to go with my toulouse. I didnt like the thought of seperation between them i like seeing things running free together lol so i asked tons of questions on here and was told that if all were to cross i would have fertile hybrids. This year i will have more seperation pens for select breedings.
I know what you mean about having goslings. I loved raising mine this year and watching my tufted pair hatch some pied chinese eggs i gave them. I did find out the hard way that i do not like the attitudes of the ones raised by geese, they are all little tyrants.
If you do get the other geese, dont forget the pics. We all love seeing and sharing the "feather baby" pics lol

Aah, got it! Sorry, I couldn't tell from your post if you knew that or not ... Good to know that the offspring are fertile!

I didn't end up picking up the other geese yesterday because we were in a 2-seater car, and husband did not feel like driving home with three adult geese on his lap (I can't imagine why not). But, I do think we'll be back for them soon (with truck and giant cardboard box ..!) :) There is one brown, who I think is the gander, and he does have a really nicely developed knob. The two whites don't have quite as nice heads to them, but now I'm so curious as to what's going on with the color pattern, I think I'll make an exception for them ...

Good to know about hand-raising versus parent-raised geese. I was planning on letting the parents set the eggs as my first attempt at goose hatching failed so miserably (granted, they were exhibition Dewlap Toulouse, but still), but if it is worth it to have them hand-reared I'll definitely give an attempt at artificial incubation again. I hope to have the 'bators running at full steam next year anyway for my Call Ducks ...

I have 10 american buffs and 2 Sebastopols (both are smooth breasted type), 1 male and 1 female in Sebastopols - they both have american buff mates. Before adding the sebbies I had a 100% pure group of American Buffs for 6 years. This was the first year with the Sebastopols... so I was not sure what to expect for off springs. I have about 10

geese that look very similar to the ones you posted at the start of forum. The older they get the more spots are showing up. The colors that are showing up on the edge of the feathers is blues and buff. The spotting is dark colored but not black.
Here is some other colors I got.
