California chicken enthusiests.. where do you get your birds?

oh the other thing I did was go to the american poultry page for the breed I wanted an contacted a few of the members. It worked perfectly for getting sicilian buttercup eggs

Out of 20 eggs shipped I only had one broken, they were 99.9% perfect. However it does take quite a bit of time to get it all put together. At least if you are dealing with many breeders for different breeds. Let me know if you'd like the names for any of these breeds. I can PM if these are some that you are looking for

Hi,

I have been hatching some chicks. These are from my own flock. However, I want to get some hatching eggs, and I don't want to keep all of them. I want to make sure they go to a good home. Where would be a good place to give them, or sell them? I would like not to ship them. (mostly because I don't know how to ship) Any ideas?

In a shipment of a dozen, you might get 12 chicks or 0 or anything in between.

People seem to do well rehoming via Craigslist, or there's also the California Chickens Yahoo group.
