DH and I were at auction last night and saw a chicken we've never seen before. The auctioneer called it a "California", but we Googled it and came up with nothing. The distinct feature about these chickens is their faces have the same look (coloring, with the white patches around the eyes) as a Guinea, but the rest of them looks like a regular black or dark chicken. Any guesses?

Thanks!

There are California whites and California greys, but obviously by the description they were not these. Glad you found out what they were called.
