Some of the chicks in this picture appear to be wet. If they get wet, you need to dry them immediately as a chilled chick, especially one not recovered from shipping stress, can die.
How large is your brooder?
Is there a cooler side to the brooder?
How large is it and how many chicks are in it?
i make sure they arent wet,but i am a bit, generous with the vaseline. I had assumed part of them getting stool stuck is the feathers so i made sure the move thouse out of the way with vaseline just to make sure they were good. And that picture was right after they had their pasty butt baths and were getting fluffy / warm under my eye in the brooder.
brooder is a 55g tank so they have the ability to see out. there are 9 chicks now in there. It does have a cooler spot they can go to, i watch and make sure they arent to cold or hot they were spread all over the tank.
ive been watching them and i really think part of the issue Is they seem to have trouble getting up when they are upside down. Is that normal?

the place to learn all, about chickens!
