My husband got these at local farm supply store. He got California Grays, Cream Legbars and Black Sex-Links. I know the sex-links. I thought I had these 2 down but since we have both confused ourselves.

I don’t have a clue so I won’t be much help. If I had to guess I would say the top is California Gray and the bottom black sex link. But again, don’t listen to me as I don’t know. I just wanted to say those are some absolutely adorable chick photos!! Great job with the camera 😍

Thank you. I do a lot of photography work and have the brooder in my studio.......so, I have to take lots of pics lol , but no Sex Links in these pictures. Sorry I probably made my request confusing. The 2 pics, one should be a California Gray, and one should be a Cream Legbar.

Oh that is incredible. I love that they are in your studio! Neither of them look like a cream legbar to me (again, not an expert so could be very wrong.) Is it possible that they are both California gray? Like if one has the “penguin” markings and one doesn’t?

Or… this happens a lot… chicks get put in the wrong bins at feed stores and you end up with a surprise chick that isn’t one of the breeds you thought? I hope someone with a lot more knowledge can help you out! But they are darling!

That is what I was afraid of. When he got home I kept thinking.....none of these look like a Cream Legbar.... Was hoping I was wrong. So 4 are a mystery. This is why I never got chicks from farm stores in the past. Sigh.... will see what we get later on. I will be taking tons of pics of all of them as they get bigger!
