California - Northern

Laura, if you find a drop near us, would you please let me know. I have a neighbor who might be interested as well. Thought I might be able to start a new drop, but read through the info at the Azure site and found that I am not situated properly (too far from freeway, no storage, no turn around for truck, total fail!).

Thanks!
Lynda

Don't let this stop you! You do not need storage. I have coordinated drops in 3 different cities/counties in CA over the last 6 years. All of out delivery locations were public. One was in the parking lot of a Home Depot, another at a KMart. If there is not a drop local to you, the driver might have some suggestions as to good delivery locations. The K1 route has Ken as the driver. He would likely have some suggestions.

But honestly, it would surprise me if you don't have at least one drop nearby!

Yes! The Drop in Elk Grove sends out an email and tells everyone to meet at the Parking Lot at a certain time on the Drop day. They are Route K2. I get mine in Vacaville and it is route K3.

I love it! I am getting Orgainic Three Bean Chili, Magill layer and Oat feed.

Edited to Add: I have an update in my Signature line tonight!

AM - spent the whole morning at the ranch, loving my breeder birds and sobbing while I realized I won't have them anymore

Fixed broken pvc connections, it freezes in Clayton so the birds only had ICE in their waterers

got everything all cleaned up and then raced home to meet Jeff Papabrooder. I re-homed my brooder, hatcher and many of my beloved birds to him. I'm so happy they are going to a caring person that can do a good job with their breeding.

He brought me 3 wonderful gifts... a splash, lavender & buff orpington for my layer flock. I was having a severe orpington deficiency!!

I'm so sorry you have to give up some of your birds. It's good you know where they are going and the hands they are in.

I am being such a bad Chicken Dad tonight. The Hatch-a-long and other things are distracting me from putting the chickens to bed!

Mimi is probably roosting on the roof of the coop and Stella is probably on top of the Basque pen again. Good thing I only have Urban Predators here.....

LOL I brought 4 tolbunts home for my layer pen and they are SO DUMB, there is a light in the coop till the door closes at 7pm and they still prefer to keep huddled in the corner of the floor of the very cool pen... so far the last 3 nights I've had to bring them in... tomorrow night I'm doing some chicken training and sundown :( and somehow they have talked the 2 coronation sussex pullets I got from sarah that this was a cool place to be.... urgh
