i'm sorry to report that poor Amelia has passed away. i'll miss her.

Oh Laura, so sorry. Birds mask symptoms as much as they can, so they are often quite sick before we notice anything is wrong. You did everything you could. She was such a pretty girl and I am looking forward to seeing the other little Amelias that are being hatched soon.

thank you, everyone -- i'm sadder than i think i expected to be, she was a special girl. Ron, if things were less chaotic I wouldn't hesitate to send in for a necropsy, but it's the first week of the semester and everything's wild -- and none of the other chickens show any sign of being ill, so i'll just chalk it up to One Of Those Things.

I understand the business--UCD is in the second week of the Winter Quarter. Crazy times.
