Yesterday my cat showed up after being gone for a week. He had a broken back leg, think he got hit by a car. Rushed him to emergency, it was bad news, they were going to have to amputate the leg, going to cost a fortune. So on the day of my daughter's 3rd birthday party, I had to have my cat put to sleep. I had hoped this year was going to start out better but that's not a very good start.

I'm so sorry. Unfortunately pet ownership is sometimes making the hard choice for the pet. At least you ended his suffering.

Sorry for your loss. It's always so much harder when the day is supposed to be a Happy day.

I'm so sorry......such a hard decision. I hope your daughter enjoyed her birthday party anyway. Kids are pretty resilient! Hugs and Happy Birthday to your daughter.

That is just awful. I'm so sorry. Sending hugs your way.

I only have hens (bummer). She's sitting on a nest with no eggs at the moment. She even stopped laying again!! after starting up again when the days got longer.

I'm sure someone close has some fertile eggs. Where do you live? I would be more then happy to give you some of mine.

Betty kicked an egg out of the nest. Throw it in the garbage or put it back or leave it alone? The eggs she is sitting on were all fresh. We are on Day 3 of her sitting. All eggs were laid on Day 1 and Day 2.

Is it still warm? Leave it alone if it is, mine kicked some out for a time, then took them back. They even got really cool to the touch - but they all grew. The hens do that to control the growth rate so they can all hatch at the same time... If you want to candle them to check you will need to wait until day 10.
