Fairly painlessly I just handed over two of my three roos to a nice cowboy in front of BOA. I didn't ask their destiny...I'm not sure i want to know.

Oh and on another funny note. The polish pictured yesterday had a sleep over in my bedroom last night in that same spot on my vanity. She was just sleeping there so peacefully I couldn't bear to move her. Of course this is a one time thing!

I agree on the sexing silkies, it's usually attitude that I can guess with earlier. Not something that translates to a photo. And Zoo, on the crests you look for little swept back streamers. As they get older, it's comb development. On a pullet they stay quite small, on a cockerel they start to form into a small cushion. As they get older, the comb is very obvious for the most part.

I have 2 of these. Any guesses on breed? Like a smokey color - not quite black.

They have feathery feet. They almost remind me of marans. I was going to CL them but I don't even know the breeds. If they are marans - I would offer them as such.

Hey everyone. Such à beautiful day today. Windy, but beautiful. Good news over here! After à long 2 months with no eggs my layer flock has finally ceased thé egg strike! Thé 3 tan eggs are mine. Thé one dark egg is à store bought egg to comparé size and color. Thèse look like pullet eggs. Maybe from my BR girls. Or my Blue Light Brahma girl, because thé eggs look à little pinkish. Theyve been squating for me for over à week now. I was wondering when theyd start!

Oh yeah def roo. I am trying to get rid of them because of their roo-ness. LOL I need the room and don't have the space to feed them for 3-4 more months to eat them. Their age is just to off from the babies coming in.
