She's an Easter Egger. If he got her from a feedstore, she would have been listed as an Ameraucana or an Americana, most likely.

I think he got all of his flock from a hatchery.... She was the only "Ameraucana" he had.

I am trying to resist hatchery birds. So very hard since most everything around here comes in a box through the USPS. I have found a few breeders but they are usually north of Salem, that's a drive.

I'm thinking about a different incubator for Mother's day, (hint, hint DH). If only the bantams would start!

I see so many beautiful breeds posted here on this thread, you guys are killing me.

That is exactly how I feel! I told Mark I want a incubator for Mother's Day and another coop for my birthday, which is just a few days after. My problem is I ordered hatchery birds before joining, and now I want all the lovely rare and show quality birds, too! I have Cream Legbars, BLRW and Silkies on my list. What next?

So far Dusty will be the brown egg- I have no idea what they will be!! LOL

Wonderfull news. Just don't worry, they can hang out with the pip for 24 hours before hatching, at least mine do. Once 1 starts they usually get the others involved.
