There are a bunch up that way!
Don't know if an hour and a half away counts as close, but I am up in Yreka. There are quite a few Shasta and Tehama County folks on here, though. Thanks Ron. My spring allergies have already started and I am miserable. Might have to break down and start them this year.

Hi, I would say Yreka is pretty close! Do you guys sell your eggs, or chickens?
Welcome to the BYC:) I am in Cottonwood and there's also Papa's Poultry in Redding and Elite Poultry in Anderson. Trisha

Welcome, but I'm way down the state from you..........sort of...............in the Placerville area. Just jump in, you'll do fine.

Tell us what you're looking for, this is a large group, someone will have it or know where to find it.

I took a couple of pictures to show here--Deanne and Jason are more expert at the CCL(Crested Cream Legbar) X Crele Pene Chickens, to see if this is what a little roo looked like.

Ok it looks like a roo in the picture! I love the crest but there really is not much meat on those bones....

Both pictures are of the same chicken Cockerel.

Ron,

Here is what an OE (Crele Pene X Cream Legbar) roo should look like. This guy is about 22 weeks. He looks very similar to a Crele Pen rooster with his white legs, the OE girls often have yellow legs and look more like a Cream Legbar, but I have hatched a few with white legs too.

Who sells chicks/pullets in the Nevada County or Placer County? I'd like to hit up MissMolly for some cute Orps. But also interested in Ameraucanas, Easter Eggers, Wyandotte's, and Marans. We will be looking into buying and picking up some chicks or pullets around the 20th of this month.

Molly might have most of those too!

Jason has two types of nice dark egg layers--Crele Penedesenca and White empordanesa.

I don't know about Wyandottes, but Debs_Flock probably has the others or all of them too.
