What color are the ear lobes? I couldn't see it in the first pictures but with the pullet they look colored. On my tablet they look to be a light turquise. That rules out American Game Bantams - they have red or mulberry lobes.

Zooweemomma-Those duck pictures are so alive and beautiful.

I need some advice........My EE got into the neighbors property and their dog made a chew toy out of her. Mostly missing feathers, but there are a few bleeding spots. I looked her over good, cleaned the open wounds and applied A&D ointment. But when I put her back out with the other girls, some of them have become canibals and were pecking at the bloody spot on her thigh -making it worse. Should I keep her completely seperate from them until she heals or just till it scabs over?

I'm pretty sure she's OK and hopefully learned her lesson.
 
How much worse are the chances of haching for shipped eggs Vs. local? If you ship, or buy shipped eggs, how much do you pay for shipping, how do you ship/recieve it? I've heard lots of people having problems with shipped eggs and I'm trying to see if I can find a better way to ship them....

Do you have Blue Kote? That stuff has been invaluable for me with little blood spots. It disinfects plus turns the area blue. Chickens are attracted to the the site of blood/red.
