No, that doesn't work well. I think a change of thermostat is in order! We will figure out how get it fixed for you so you can use it to hatch - the world needs more Crele Pennies!

Can I freeze water that has electrolytes in it?
Also, does your automatic waterer have a holding tank or is it directly house water on a pressure reducer? If it's a holding tank, you can drop a 2 liter bottle of ice in the tank to make the supply colder.
^I don't think anyone saw this..
Speaking of beautiful birds... How have the od developed so far?Beautiful birds!

I didn't see if anyone answered you on this so I am giving it a bump just in case! I had a hen develop a major limp last year. I removed her from the flock and gave vitamins etc. to her. After a couple of days, I let her back with her buddies. She is number 2 chicken and no one picked on her. It slowly got better but she still had a slight limp months later.Hi guys![]()
I rescued a few of my grandma's chickens when she passed... I'm attaching a super short video of Marie. When I got her, her back was about to bleed from the roo... She's looking a lot better now, but there is something wrong with her right leg. She hops around, she's eating & drinking, but not laying. I palpate her foot & she's fine. I notice that the 1st joint up toward her thigh is a bit inflamed, but I don't feel anything that feels broken. I want to splint her, but I don't know what part to splint :/ I'm worried about her. I have her with the teenagers so the ladies won't peck on her. They started being mean, but I don't know if it's better for her to roost or sit flat at night. The video is only 13 seconds. She vomited right after, but it was really hot & she just had a lot of water...

Great, thanks! We haven't even reached our average hottest month here and it's already hit 113! I'm thinking of freezing their water(with electrolytes) for days when it's really hot, that way they have nice cold water.
