Yeah, I'm biased but Tilly really is quite expressive. And this time I had my iPhone ready to capture her in action. What is the Caption contest? BTW I posted this pic to Facebook and one of my daughters responded "I thought I saw a puddy cat!"

Aren't they glam chicks? You were not phased when I called and said I had never had chicks and I wanted a mixed flock including 1 Norwegian and 1 banty. You didn't discourage me. The day we drove up to pick the itsy bitsy girls up from you was amazing. They are the ultimate stress busters

we can all dream... in the meantime, around 9:30 it started getting WARMER again here on sonoma mtn, rather than cooling off -- feel like someone is playing a bad trick on my thermometer. parked by the fan indefinitely...

We are at 81° here. DH is over on the coast in Coos Bay. He was rubbing it in when he called earlier.

It's been years since we got a gradual warming. I don't handle going from 60's to 90's well anymore.

We are renting a house near North Bend in October. Right on the coast. Photos show surf crashing right out the windows. The anticipation of that trip helps me get through the heat. I, too, envy your hubby. Kudos to you for keeping the fort running!

DH and I went to HD at 8pm. They have lots of swamp coolers running and the humidity is up, but at least the air was moving. Not too many DIYers out. Dusk is a much better time to run errands that we can't get done by late morning here in swelterland.

I do that as well. Means I can get an early start. That is if I remembered to get all the parts and pieces I went for. I have a tendancy to leave my list at home. I consider it a success if I get the first three things on the list.

Well it cooled off here overnight to 81 degrees lol. Can't believe it can be that temp at 5:30 am.

here it's the same temp at 5am as it was at 11pm -- 80°. a friend who lives in Bolinas says the fog is massing up at the coast, and i believe it's much cooler at lower elevations, but there must be an atmospheric inversion -- still hot up here.

and of course mr. bobcat decided to amble past the chicken pens again this morning -- he can't get in, but he likes to visit, apparently -- totally freaking the flock out and making it even more impossible to sleep.
