California - Northern

I have some eggs hatching!!! I have one BCM and one Button Quail (I didn't think any of these guys were going to hatch). I took out the two of them, because I've read button quail can only go 12 hours without food/water. They are hanging out in the brooder together. I'm wondering if the Marans might be mixed with something. I looked it up, and I can't find any BCM chicks that are white.

*They are napping, not dead.

Does the yellow chick have light or dark brown feathers coming in on the wings yet?

With Wheatens you can tell gender by the color of the brown feathers.

Today I drove from Placerville to Winnemucca Nevada and back. 270 miles one way. to p/u my kids who where in Boise for the week.
On the way back I stopped by a fellow Crele penedesenca breeder and did a egg swap.
so I was able to get 6 crele eggs that where not shipped. Hope to get a few good hens or a good rooster

I am tired though it was quite the drive.
It was neat to see wild Horses though near Silver Springs south of Fernley.

My friend Eddie with the Penedesenca also raises Wallabies if anyone wants one

Though i am not sure if you can keep them here

yeah. I wish I would of had a car trailer too as it was Hot August nights this weekend and the coolest thing I saw was a Semi pulling a car trailer with
7 Hertz Shelby Mustangs...

That would have been great to see.

I can't really tell yet, but it does have a couple black spotches on it's back. Do the cheeks look puffy enough for an EE? It's legs are pretty yellow too. I ended up with 4 chicks total. 2 from the BCM eggs, and 2 button quail. Has anyone ever brooded quail and chickens together? It seems like a pain to set up 2 brooders with 2 chicks each.

All 4.
