this is what my two marans x isbar OEs look like -- these came from eggs i got from Mill Molly, but i'm planning on hatching some of my own this year...

The golden cuckoo Marans x blue wheaten Ameraucanas should make some very pretty OEs

Hopefully I can sell these chicks soon, otherwise I am going to have a hard time parting with them

My friends who own the farm that my breeding flock lives at are looking for some Muscovy ducks.  I can't remember if anyone on this thread breeds them but I told them that I would ask.  Anyone have Muscovy ducks???

I have white french muscovies the are HUGE and good foragers. But I only have eggs right now.
We could harass ron!

Here are my latest olive egger pullets that are laying.

They sure are pretty. I especially like that splash hen. I see they don't have feathered legs. Are they F1 ? All my chicks have feathered legs but one. They look like they might have beards too.

They look like @juststruttin s Blue Barnveledner OEs. I have one that is an F2 that missed the Blue egg shell gene. Barnveldner is the Brown gene contributor so no feathered feet.

i think the white dot is supposed to look like a bulls-eye if fertile? those look like solid white to me...


and here's a question for the hatching experts: I'd decided yesterday to set some of my own flock's eggs in the incubator, and just got them started around 6pm last night -- but just now, i heard back from someone i was hoping to get some shipped eggs from -- so i've turned the incubator off & taken the eggs back out. question is, can i hang on to these eggs for a few days and then start them again, since they were only at incubation temps for ~12 hrs -- or should i just ditch these and start collecting new ones?
